UFC Fight Night 248 live updates: Results, round-by-round coverage of every fight

UFC Fight Night 248 (ESPN+) takes place Saturday, and you can join us for live round-by-round coverage and official results beginning at 3 a.m. ET (midnight PT). UFC Fight Night 248 (ESPN+) takes place at Galaxy Arena in Macau

In the headliner, former bantamweight champion Petr Yan (17-5 MMA, 9-4 UFC) takes on former flyweight champ Deiveson Figueiredo (24-3-1 MMA, 13-3-1 UFC). In the co-feature, recent women’s strawweight title challenger Yan Xiaonan (18-4 MMA, 8-3 UFC) meets Tabatha Ricci (11-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC).

Recap: Although it was a back-and-forth fight with a lot of momentum changes, former bantamweight champion Petr Yan got a sweep of the judges’ scorecards against former flyweight titleholder Deiveson Figueiredo. The win placed Yan back in shouting distance of champion Merab Dvalishvili.

Recap: Recent title challenger Yan Xiaonan, fighting for the first time since h er loss to champion Zhang Weili earlier this year, rolled to an easy win over Ricci to halt her momentum. Then she called for a rematch against the champ, her countrywoman, who was seated cageside.

Recap: Muslim Salikhov is no stranger to highlight-reel finishes, and the 40-year-old delivered another one with a spinning wheel kick finish of Song Kenan. Salikhov also had a bonus-winning spinning wheel kick finish of Andre Fialho in 2022.

Wang Cong vs. Gabriella Fernandes

Recap: Gabriella Fernandes was a massive underdog to the undefeated 12-1 favorite Wang Cong, who was fighting on friendly turf. But Fernandes clocked her with a head kick, sat her down with a punch, pounced on her and choked her briefly unconscious with a rear-naked choke for one of the biggest betting upsets in UFC history.

Recap: Dong Hoon Choi slept Kiru Sahota with a massive right hand just a few seconds after another one left Sahota stunned. Very quickly, Choi, from South Korea, was being pulled off a reeling Sahota on the mat. Choi won the Road to UFC flyweight tournament with the finish.

Xiaocan Feng vs. Ming Shi

Ming Shi, UFC Fight Night 248

Recap: Ming Shi pulled off a big betting upset when she knocked out 6-1 favorite Xiaocan Feng with a brutal head kick 46 seconds into the third round. Shi connected her shin right onto Feng’s jaw, then hit. her with a few punches on the canvas before the ref jumped in. The win gave her the “Road to UFC” women’s strawweight tournament crown – and also sent Feng out of the arena on a stretcher and to the hospital for precautionary reasons after the finish, which left her unconscious and convulsing on the canvas.

Recap: Xiao Long’s first UFC win came courtesy of a lethal 1-2 about 90 seconds into the third round. The first one stunned Vietnam’s Quang Le, and the second put him onto his butt. It took just a few on the ground after that for Long’s big home win.
