After celebrating its 30th anniversary this past week in New York, the octagon returns to its home base of the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday with UFC Fight Night 232, which streams on ESPN+.
A matchup of middleweight grappling specialists is featured in the main event. Brendan Allen (22-5 MMA, 10-2 UFC) will attempt to continue his surge up the division against Paul Craig (17-6-1 MMA, 9-6-1 UFC), who looks so stay unbeaten since dropping to 185 pounds.

Brendan Allen
Allen’s four-fight UFC winning streak at middleweight is tied for the third-longest active streak in the division behind Dricus Du Plessis (six) and Caio Borralho (five).
Allen has earned 17 of his 22 career victories by stoppage.
Allen’s five submission victories in UFC middleweight competition are tied for second-most in divisional history behind Gerald Meerschaert (nine).
Paul Craig
Craig was successful in his middleweight debut at UFC Fight Night 224 in July.
Craig’s six submission victories in UFC light heavyweight competition are second-most in divisional history behind Glover Teixeira (seven).
Craig’s four submission victories by triangle choke are the most in UFC history.
Craig’s victory at 4:59 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night 127 is the latest submission in a three-round UFC fight.
Chase Hooper vs. Jordan Leavitt
Chase Hooper (12-3-1 MMA, 4-3 UFC) was successful in his UFC lightweight debut at UFC Fight Night 223 in May.
Hooper’s 217 total strikes landed at UFC Fight Night 223 are the third-most in a UFC lightweight fight. Nate Diaz holds the divisional record with 260 total strikes landed vs. Donald Cerrone at UFC 141.
Jordan Leavitt (11-2 MA, 4-2 UFC) is one of 12 fighters in UFC history to earn a knockout stemming from a slam. He accomplished the feat at UFC on ESPN 19.
Leavitt’s 22-second slam knockout at UFC on ESPN 19 is tied for the second fastest in UFC history behind Josh Burkman’s 21-second win at The Ultimate Fighter 2 Finale in November 2005.
Leavitt’s 22-second victory at UFC on ESPN 19 is the second-fastest finish for a debuting lightweight in UFC history behind Terrance McKinney’s seven-second win at UFC 263.
Leavitt is of three fighters in UFC history to earn a reverse triangle submission. He accomplished the feat at UFC Fight Night 199. Cole Miller and Olivier Aubin-Mercier have also won with the technique.
Luana Pinheiro vs. Amanda Ribas
Luana Pinheiro’s (11-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) three-fight UFC winning streak at strawweight is tied for the fourth-longest active streak in the division behind Tatiana Suarez (six), Loopy Godinez (six) and Karolina Kowalkiewicz (five).
Amanda Ribas (12-4 MMA, 6-3 UFC) defends 70.8 percent of all opponent significant strike attempts in UFC strawweight competition, the second-highest rate in divisional history behind Danielle Taylor (71.7 percent).
Uros Medic vs. Myktybek Orolbai Uulu
Uros Medic (9-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) was successful in his welterweight debut at UFC 291 in August.
Medic has earned all nine of his career victories by stoppage. He’s finished all three of his UFC wins by knockout.
Medic is one of seven fighters in UFC history to earn a knockout stemming from a spinning back elbow. He accomplished the feat at UFC 291.
Jonathan Pearce vs. Joanderson Brito
Jonathan Pearce’s (14-4 MMA, 5-1 UFC) five-fight UFC winning streak at featherweight is tied for the third-longest active streak in the division behind Alexander Volkanovski (11) and Movsar Evloev (six).
Pearce lands 57.5 percent of his takedown attempts in UFC featherweight competition, the second-highest rate in divisional history behind Diego Brandao (68 percent).
Lucie Pudilova vs. Ailin Perez
Ailin Perez (8-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) landed 10 takedowns in her victory last UFC on ESPN 49, the single-fight record for a UFC women’s bantamweight fight.
