UFC Fight Night 213 post-event facts: Arnold Allen makes history with 10-0 octagon start

The UFC closed its October schedule Saturday with UFC Fight Night 213, which took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

In the main event, Arnold Allen (19-1 MMA, 10-0 UFC) kept his perfect octagon record intact when he picked up a second-round injury TKO win over Calvin Kattar (23-7 MMA, 7-5 UFC) in their featherweight bout.

Event stats

The UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance payout for the event totaled $166,500.

Debuting fighters went 1-2 at the event.

Tresean Gore, Roman Dolidze, Steve Garcia and Christian Rodriguez earned $50,000 UFC Fight Night 213 fight-night bonuses.

The UFC sold VIP tickets to fans for UFC Fight Night 213, but the promotion did not make public the total number of tickets sold or the gate.

Betting favorites went 6-5 on the card.

Betting favorites improved to 23-13 in UFC headliners this year.

Total fight time for the 11-bout card was 1:30:39.

Arnold Allen def. Calvin Kattar

Allen became the sixth fighter in UFC history to start 10-0 in the octagon. Anderson Silva, Kamaru Usman, Alexander Volkanovski, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Royce Gracie also accomplished the feat.

Allen’s 10-fight UFC winning streak in featherweight competition is tied with Volkanovski for the longest active streak in the division.

Allen became the 14th fighter in UFC history to earn 10 consecutive UFC victories.

Allen has earned 11 of his 19 career victories by stoppage.

Kattar suffered consecutive losses for the first time in his career.

Kattar fell to 1-3 in his past four fights dating back to January 2021.

Kattar suffered the first stoppage loss of his UFC career.

Max Griffin def. Tim Means

Max Griffin (18-9 MMA, 7-7 UFC) has earned four of his seven UFC victories by decision.

Tim Means (32-14-1 MMA, 14-11 UFC) fell to 12-9 (with one no contest) since he returned to the UFC for a second stint in May 2014.

Means has suffered six of his 11 UFC losses by decision.

Waldo Cortes-Acosta def. Jared Vanderaa

Jared Vanderaa’s (12-10 MMA, 1-6 UFC) five-fight losing skid is the longest of his career. He hasn’t earned a victory since May 2021.

Gore (4-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) has earned three of his four career victories by stoppage.

Josh Fremd (9-4 MMA, 0-2 UFC) suffered the first submission loss of his career.

Khalil Rountree def. Dustin Jacoby

Khalil Rountree’s (11-5 MMA, 7-5 UFC) three-fight UFC winning streak is the longest of his career.

Dustin Jacoby (18-6-1 MMA, 6-3-1 UFC) fell to 6-1-1 since he returned to the UFC for a second stint in October 2020.

Roman Dolidze def. Phil Hawes

Dolidze (11-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) improved to 3-1 since he dropped to the middleweight division in March 2020.

Dolidze has earned nine of his 10 career victories by stoppage.

Dolidze has earned all three of his UFC stoppage victories by knockout.

Phil Hawes (12-4 MMA, 4-2 UFC) has suffered all four of his career losses by stoppage.

Hawes has suffered both of his UFC losses by knockout.

Marcos Rogerio de Lima def. Andrei Arlovski

Marcos Rogerio de Lima (20-8-1 MMA, 9-6 UFC) improved to 6-3 in the UFC when competing at heavyweight.

De Lima has earned 17 of his 20 career victories by stoppage. He’s finished 16 of those wins in Round 1.

Andrei Arlovski (34-21 MMA, 23-15 UFC) fell to 13-11 (with one no contest) since he returned to the UFC for a second stint in June 2014.

Arlovski has suffered 14 of his 21 career losses by stoppage.

Junyong Park def. Joseph Holmes

Junyong Park (15-5 MMA, 5-2 UFC) earned the first stoppage victory of his UFC career. His previous four octagon wins came by decision.

Joseph Holmes (8-3 MMA, 1-2 UFC) suffered the first stoppage loss of his career with a submission defeat.

Garcia (13-5 MMA, 2-2 UFC) has earned all 10 of his career stoppage victories by knockout. That includes both of his UFC wins.

Chase Hooper (11-3-1 MMA, 3-3 UFC) suffered the first stoppage loss of his career with a knockout defeat.

Carlos Mota (8-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC suffered the first decision loss of his career.

Rodriguez (8-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) has earned seven of his eight career victories by stoppage.

Joshua Weems (11-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) has suffered all three of his career losses by stoppage.

Weems suffered the first submission loss of his career.
