ABU DHABI – Abus Magomedov had to overcome some adversity before getting the finish late at UFC 308.
Magomedov (27-6-1 MMA, 3-2 UFC) was badly hurt on multiple occasions by Brunno Ferreira (12-2 MMA, 3-2 UFC), but was able to use his ground game to submit the Brazilian with an arm-triangle choke at the 3:14 mark of Round 3 Saturday at Etihad Arena.

After dropping two straight to former champion Sean Strickland and top contender Caio Borralho, Magomedov rebounded with back-to-back wins over Warlley Alves and Ferreira. Meanwhile, Ferreira, saw his two-fight winning streak snapped.
