Belarusian clubs and national team have avoided being banned from football along with Russia, although UEFA have ordered that they must play fixtures at a neutral venue.
On Monday, FIFA confirmed that Russia would be booted out of competitions including World Cup qualification following the country’s attacks on Ukraine, ordered by President Vladimir Putin.
The U-turn came following initial sanctions which included Russia playing at neutral venues, under the name of ‘Football Union of Russia’ with no reference to the country at their matches - such as flags or national anthems.
