Uefa has reiterated that European countries will boycott the World Cup if Gianni Infantino remains in power, hours after Fifa indicated its under-fire president would carry on and still had its “full support”.
Infantino is facing immense pressure to resign after his botched attempt to sell off stakes in the World Cup to private investors, which was the subject of widespread condemnation.
