In six tournament games, Sanogo averaged 19.7 points and 9.8 rebounds, with four double-doubles and eight blocked shots. He altered many more around the rim, especially against an undersized Aztecs front line on Monday night.
During the tournament, UConn beat its opponents by an average of 20 points per game. The Huskies held its foes under 60 points four times during its championship run.
UConn has now played in five men’s national championship games, winning each one.
