UCI World Championships medal table

A prized gold medal at the 2024 UCI Road World Championships in Zürich.

The 2024 UCI Road World Championships (September 22-29), a return to normality after last year's 'mega Worlds' which brought together numerous racing disciplines, will hand out 13 gold medals during the course of the week's festivities.

Juniors, under-23s, and elites will compete in time trials, mixed relay TTTs, and road races in Switzerland for the chance of taking home one of those prized rainbow jerseys, or, failing that, one of the 26 silver and bronze medals on offer.

The action is well underway, with the headline events of the elite women's road race and elite men's road race rounding out the week on September 28 and 29.

We're compiling all the medals as they roll in to rank the competing nations into a total medal table.

Check below for the up-to-date tally of prizes from Zürich.

Cyclingnews has kept track of all the big winners throughout the 2024 Worlds. Read on for our concise rundown of the riders who have taken home rainbow jersey this year.

The week began with a win for Australia and the soon-to-retire Grace Brown, who triumphed in the elite women's time trial to add to her Olympic title. She had the beating of Demi Vollering (Netherlands) and Chloe Dygert (USA) with a famous ride.

Later the same day, there was another familiar face atop the time trial podium as Remco Evenepoel (Belgium) – another Olympic champion – won the elite men's TT, adding to his 2023 title by beating Italians Filippo Ganna and Edoardo Affini.

Paul Seixas (France) and Cat Ferguson (Great Britain) triumphed in the junior time trials, confirming their status as rising stars in the sport. Further up the age categories, in the U23 time trials, there were triumphs for Spain and Germany as Ivan Romeo and Antonia Niedermaier sped to victory.

Australia beat Germany – only just – and Italy to taste victory in the often-forgotten mixed relay TTT, before the road racing got underway a day later on Thursday. In the  junior women's road race, Cat Ferguson added to her time trial gold and upgraded from silver last year.
