Uber bans driver after video of him with trousers down in back of car with woman

Uber has banned a driver after he was allegedly filmed with his trousers down in the back of his car with a woman. The driver said 'I'm sorry' before driving away when confronted by a man who was filming him.

Uber says it has banned a driver while a police investigation into the incident, which happened on Sunday, is under way.

The man filming the clip was heard to tell the driver: "Yo, what you're doing? Brother, what are you doing? In the month of Ramadan and you're doing stuff like this?"

He added: "This is disgusting. What are you doing? I've got kids inside here."

An Uber spokesperson told MEN: "We are horrified by what is depicted in the video and are taking action. We have banned the driver while we investigate and are working directly with the police.”

A spokeswoman for Rochdale Council said: "This is a live police investigation and we are liaising with GMP with a view to acting on any information they confirm and share with the council."

Greater Manchester Police is understood to be investigating the incident.
