In a move aimed at strengthening social cohesion and improving quality of life for households across the emirates, the United Arab Emirates has announced that resident families will receive free Fazaa membership as part of the nationwide “Year of the Family 2026” initiative. The programme, launched through a collaboration between the Ministry of Family and the Fazaa initiative, seeks to recognise the contributions of families who live and work in the country while giving them access to a wide range of lifestyle benefits and discounts.
The initiative reflects the UAE’s broader strategy of placing families at the centre of social development. By extending a benefits programme previously limited mainly to specific sectors to resident families, authorities hope to foster a stronger sense of community, support household stability and ease the cost of everyday living.
