The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) clarified when employees in the UAE can legally move to a new company after their employment contract ends, while also warning workers that certain violations could lead to a one-year work permit ban.
The latest clarification comes as thousands of employees across the UAE continue changing jobs in a highly competitive labour market, especially in sectors like hospitality, retail, construction, logistics and technology.
