This caution comes in response to escalating tensions between Israel and Lebanon-based, Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorists following a deadly rocket attack that claimed 12 lives at a children's soccer field over the weekend.
Several airlines, including Air France, Lufthansa, Swiss International Air Lines, and Eurowings, have suspended flights to and from Beirut in anticipation of a possible major conflict. The U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Consular Affairs, Rena Bitter, emphasized the importance of developing a crisis plan and utilizing commercial transportation while local infrastructure remains operational.
