If it weren't for Oscar Piastri carrying Australia's Formula One hopes, local fans could do worse than jump on Finnish veteran Valtteri Bottas's bandwagon.

The pseudo South Aussie now calls McLaren Vale a second home - for at least part of the year - with Adelaide Hills-born professional cyclist and partner Tiffany Cromwell.
