India's U-19 team won the inaugural Women’s U-19 Asia Cup title in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday, defeating Bangladesh U-19 by 41 runs, thanks to a brilliant half-century from Gongadi Trisha and an impressive showing with the ball.
After winning the toss, Bangladesh skipper Sumaiya Akter opted to field. Trisha scored a solid 52 runs off 47 balls at the top of the order, hitting five fours and two sixes. But the rest of the Indian batters found it difficult to score.
