Rapper Master P has announced the death of his daughter Tytyana Miller at the age of 29.
The musician shared a poignant post on Instagram to confirm the news in the early hours of Monday morning (May 30). The cause of her death has not been revealed.
Master P - real name Percy Robert Miller Sr. - wrote: "Our family is dealing with an overwhelming grief for the loss of my daughter Tytyana.
"We respectfully request some privacy so that our family can grieve. We appreciate all of the prayers love and support.
"Mental illness & substance abuse is a real issue that we can’t be afraid to talk about. With God, we will get through this. #MyAngel "
Snoop Dogg was among the many people to send their condolences, writing alongside a praying hands and rose emoji: "I’m here for u (sic) and the family. Stay strong. P."
Fellow rapper Busta Rhymes said: "Damn King I’m so sorry for your loss of your beautiful princess."
Master P rose to fame due to his supporting role in the reality TV show Growing Up Hip Hop between 2016 and 2020.
During an episode in season one of Growing Up Hip Hop, Tytyana opened up about her addiction to her father who encouraged her to go to rehab.
Her older brother Romeo Miller, who had a main role on the show and was a budding actor and rapper in the 2000s, was also in the room for the conversation in the episode.
Romeo also took to Instagram to pay tribute to his "amazing" sister, who was "in a way better place and finally at peace and free".
He wrote: "Our family is dealing with an overwhelming grief for the loss of my little sister Tytyana.
"We respectfully request some privacy so that our family can grieve. We appreciate all of the prayers, love, and support, and although this is sad times, I’m forever grateful for the memories I did have with my amazing sister.
"Love on your loved ones, life is short. The silver lining, I know she’s in a way better place and finally at peace and free. God Bless."
Romeo had three rap albums between 2001 and 2004, with his debut album Lil' Romeo reaching number six on the US Bilbloard 200.
