Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte odds and bets for heavyweight world title fight

Tyson Fury puts his unbeaten record on the line when he fights Dillian Whyte in a huge British heavyweight showdown at Wembley on Saturday night.

The Gypsy King, who is fighting in the UK for the first time since 2018, is out to defend his WBC Heavyweight crown against fellow Brit Whyte, who is the WBC's mandatory challenger after beating Alexander Povetkin in a rematch in October last year.

It is the first heavyweight title fight to take place between two Brits since Whyte knocked down Derek Chisora in the 11th round of their grudge match at The O2 in 2018.

A similar scenario looks unlikely against Fury, who is as short as 2/9 with Betfred to extend his unbeaten record to 33 fights. Whyte, who has been training in Portugal and avoided most of the pre-fight hype, is a 7/2 chance to cause the upset but the 34-year-old east Londoner packs a powerful punch and there is no doubt that he can hurt Fury should he get the opportunity.

The last time Tyson Fury fought in the UK was a 2018 fight against Francesco Pianeta at Windsor Park, Belfast and since then he has gone on to become the WBC Heavyweight Champion after an epic trilogy against American Deontay Wilder.

Whyte, meanwhile, is the WBC's mandatory challenger after beating Alexander Povetkin in a rematch in October last year.

According to Betfred's big-fight odds, a Tyson Fury knockout is by some distance the most likely outcome (4/6) at Wembley, with a Fury points victory second most likely at 5/2.

Anyone looking to latch onto a bigger-priced option will be drawn to the 21/5 (shade over 4/1) about Dillian Whyte landing one of those fearsome punches, which could derail the Tyson Fury bandwagon.

What they have said

Tyson Fury : "I am only thinking about Dillian Whyte at this moment, I am not thinking about retirement. That will all come after I have had the fight and we will think about what is to come, what the future holds for me. At the minute I have a massive task in Dillian. A lot of people are underestimating Dillian Whyte, but not me.

"My promise is that you're going to see an excellent fight, Dillian has been training away hard in Portugal, he's bringing his 'A game', he's going to fight the best Tyson Fury anhd I hope I'm going to fight the best Dillian Whyte."

"We're going to give the fans a real treat because you've got two top heavyweights in the world going to smash each other to bits for the entertainment of the paying customer."

Dillian Whyte : "It's not the Tyson Fury show, his fights with Detonay Wider didn't sell out, it's not just the Tyson Fury show. This show sold out because of me and Tyson Fury. This is about Tyson Fury and me, it's the Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte show.

"I don't dance to no-ones tune. We can dance together but it can't be one-way traffic. I'm a disciplined guy, I've learned to be disciplined over the years. You want me to do things? Cool, but I'm a professional. I've had six or seven pay-per-view shows and I know how to do things and I've always dealt with my opponents if things have been done incorrectly.

"When you’re swimming with sharks you can’t act surprised and say: ‘I can’t believe I got bitten by a shark.’ The risk is always there.

"But it is a shame because, if everything had been done properly, we could have had a gigantic fight. It’s still a big fight but it should have been massive. I’m not a pushover. If you try and put pressure on me, I’m not going to fold. I’ll fight back tenfold."
