Tyson Fury has displayed some nasty bruising around his stomach after beating Derek Chisora in a trilogy bout last weekend.
The 'Gypsy King' returned to the ring last weekend against heavyweight star Chisora, where he put on a dominant display to routinely stop his former two-time rival in London. It was a tough night for 'WAR' who was unable to close the gap to Fury and was left with significant bruising on his care with his eyes hardly opening after suffering facial damage.
Fury had already beaten Chisora in 2011 and 2014, but similarly to the first two meetings, Chisora put up a brave fight trying desperately to cling on until the final bell. In a recent appearance on talkSPORT for the first time since his fight, Fury lifted his Christmas jumper up to reveal a huge purple bruise on his stomach from the showdown.
It is likely that Chisora inflicted this during the early stages of the contest where he was landing some body work to try and claw his way into the fight. Radio host Alan Brazil asked Fury how he was feeling to which the champion replied: "I'm all right. I've got a massive bruise on my hip. Derek Chisora really punched me hard.
"He had those small gloves on and how hard did he hit me? It went right through the abdominal protector. Let me show you." Fury's bruise went from his hip to his abdomen and adds another injury after revealing that he would require elbow surgery before fighting again from a pre-existing issue.
After revealing the nasty-looking bruise Fury paid tribute to his trilogy rival, adding: "It's a boxing match. We both know what we are getting in for. We are in there to put a show on for our fans and are fighting for our families. As fighters, we never want it to be stopped but maybe the referee or corner could have stopped it earlier. Thank God Derek is alright. I spoke to him a couple of days ago."

Following his routine win, Fury is now expected to pursue an undisputed title clash with Oleksandr Usyk who was ringside to see his performance against Chisora up close. The pair exchanged verbal barbs over a fight, and Fury confirmed it is his intention to meet the Ukrainian next.
Despite Usyk's superb record, Fury believes he has the beating of Usyk and is confident that the fight will take place without collapse. "We're going to get those big fights. I'm ready and willing to take on Usyk next, whether it's in Saudi Arabia or back here in the UK," Fury said.
"Let's give the fans one champion, one name, one face. Usyk's up for the challenge. He came over tonight so fair play to him. He's not an easy boxer to figure out - he's a slick, southpaw mover, with very good skills. The big fights sometimes don't happen for whatever reason. But I've got a good feeling this one's going to happen."
