Tyson Fury’s wife Paris: Met boxer aged 16, married at 19 and has six children

Tyson Fury and his wife Paris met when they were just teenagers, and married years later without any knowledge of the fame that was to come.

Fury, who would go on to become a two-time world heavyweight champion, met Paris at a wedding of a mutual friend when she was 15 and he was 18, and have been together ever since. They would go on to have six children, three boys named Prince and three daughters named Valencia, Venezuela and most recently Athena.

And despite Fury losing out on a lot of valuable relationships during his period of binge-drinking and drug use between the end of 2015 and his boxing return in 2018, Paris always stuck by his side.

She stayed with him through his incredible comeback that culminated in winning the world heavyweight title against Deontay Wilder in February 2020, just under five years after he first beat Wladimir Klitschko to begin his reign over the division.

This was in spite of Fury admittedly being "not the best husband" over the years, a fact which he admitted in a recent interview with Gary Neville. "I've not been the best husband in the world," Fury said during the chat with Neville's show The Overlap . "I've been far from it."

Fury has said that without his wife's support, he likely would have killed himself during the depths of his battle with depression. "I've not been the best person in the world," he continued. I've been far from it but I'm happy that I'm back on track and everything's running smooth again.

"And to get a woman who's been with you all that time and gone through the bulls***," he continued. "The good times and the bad times. [For her] to still be there when you don't want to be and when you're being forced away and you're being pushed out, that takes a very strong individual.

"And like I say, without having that person, [I would] probably want to be dead anyway." The Furys tied the knot in 2008 in front of 400 friends and family members in Doncaster, only sleeping together for the first time after the wedding.

Just a year later in 2009, Venezuela was born. followed two years later by her baby brother Prince John James. Tyson named his third child - and second son - Prince Tyson Fury II when he was born in 2016, and in 2019 he named his third son Prince Adonis Amaziah, in keeping with tradition.

His second daughter Valencia Amber was born in 2018, while they most recently had Athena earlier this year, who suffered with health complications but is now doing much better.

They're no strangers to heartbreak in the Fury household, with Paris having a miscarriage in 2014 as Tyson's uncle Hughie was dying in hospital, just one year before he would win the world title.

"I've never spoken about this before, but my wife Paris gave birth to a child at six months old that was dead," Fury told the Daily Telegraph. "I had to be there when she was delivering the baby. We were in one side of the hospital and my uncle Hughie was dying on the other side of the hospital, at the same time.

"That was the end of 2014, and I suppose I didn't really think about it. I stopped myself from thinking about it. I needed to put it to the back of my mind."

Paris has been by her husband's side through it all, from his professional debut to winning the world title, as well as his depression battle that almost took his life. And with her standing by him, Fury was able to rise up again and take the world heavyweight title again in 2020.
