Tyson Fury refuses to rule out fourth Deontay Wilder fight despite previous KOs

Tyson Fury has refused to rule out a fourth fight with Deontay Wilder despite having already knocked him out twice in their legendary world title trilogy.

The world heavyweight champion has faced Wilder three times already, going to a very controversial split decision draw in their first bout before stopping him in the seventh round of their 2020 rematch and the eleventh in their 2021 trilogy. But he has maintained his position that the American is one of the world's top heavyweights, ahead of fellow champion Oleksandr Usyk.

And Wilder has been told that should he beat Robert Helenius in his comeback fight and then Andy Ruiz Jr in a final eliminator, the WBC will make him mandatory challenger for Fury's belt. The Brit is keen to stay on good terms with the WBC, and is willing to give him another shot if he earns it against Ruiz.

"That will be a good fight for him to come back," Fury told Seconds Out of the Helenius bout next weekend. "He's had a year out, we do not know how much the Gypsy King has taken out of Wilder, he's had a year out and I gave him a hell of a beating that last time, really laid it to him and he needed a long time recover so we will see.

"But don't write a fourth fight off with me and Wilder. You've got Usyk, who doesn't want to fight when we offered him millions and millions to fight in December, he ran away - the b**** don't want no smoke. Then you've got the bodybuilder [ Anthony Joshua ] over here who's running away from the biggest payday he can ever get and making a million excuses; Commercial rights? Whatever the flip they are!

"Then you've got Wilder in the meantime, if he beats Helenius they're going to make a final eliminator between him and Andy Ruiz. If he beats Ruiz, guess who's back again? Big D! I don't mind because the man wants a fight, it's a great fight, we've had three great fights.

"And if he becomes mandatory again and I don't get this other fight with this little middleweight guy [Usyk] who I'm just going to run through, then we do Wilder again. No.1-ranked mandatory if he gets to that position, who wouldn't want to watch that one again? It would seem that the Bronze Bomber cannot beat the Gypsy King.

"However, he ran up close the last time, didn't he? He got two knockdowns in round four and if I wasn't a superhuman specimen, unbeatable, then I probably would have lost that fight to Deontay Wilder, he would have claimed the scalp. But when all the chips are down I can pull it out of the fire yet again."
