Tyson Fury opens door to fighting in Dubai as heavyweight champion reveals ten-year visa plan

Tyson Fury has revealed his interest in fighting in Dubai - where he is hoping to secure a ten-year Golden Visa.

The Emirates city was touted to host Floyd Mayweather’s exhibition match with YouTuber ‘Money Kicks’ on the helipad of the five-star Burj Al Arab hotel later this year, and is yet to welcome a major title fight.

Fury will defend his WBC belt against Dillian Whyte next, in a bout due to be held at Wembley Stadium, but a fight in Dubai is on his to-do list.

He told UAE-based outlet Khaleej Times: “Why not? Hopefully, sometime in the future. Never say never, that day might come.”

Currently in the emirate while training for the Whyte fight, Fury has revealed his desire to secure an exclusive ten-year visa that is only available to selected business people, professions and sponsors.

He added: “I love it out here. I’m here for the sun, sand, sea and good weather.

“The weather is good, it’s not too hot, nice breeze. The kids love it and I’m looking forward to getting my 10-year Golden Visa as well. I’m becoming a Dubai-Emirati soon. I couldn’t be happier.”
