Tyson Fury has revealed that he is still eyeing up a mega Battle of Britain meeting with Anthony Joshua – despite previously cursing his rival for scuppering a potential £150 million bout.
A fight between the two British heavyweights has long been on the cards and a money-spinning fight was fantasised about by many boxing fans. However, Anthony Joshua suffered a damning fourth defeat of his career when he was shockingly dropped by Daniel Dubois in September.
Joshua was dropped four times in the fight, which lead to fears his career at the top level was finished.
One of those cursing Joshua’s defeat at ringside in September was long-time rival Fury. At ringside, the Gypsy King was filmed accusing Joshua of costing them both an eye-watering nine-figure sum. Fury was heard shouting in an X-rated rant: “That’s cost me £150 million!”

And now that both Fury and Joshua have defeats on their records, the clamour to see them fight has waned. Joshua looked set to further jeopardise hopes of a fight with Fury by agreeing to high-risk rematch with Dubois.
But Joshua instead decided to wait for the outcome of Fury’s rematch with Oleksandr Usyk this Saturday. Fury lost his world title to the Ukrainian in May and should he win the rematch, a trilogy fight will be on the cards.
But ahead of his fourth rematch of his career, Fury has opened up on what he really thinks about a future fight with Joshua.
Tyson Fury Sends £150 Million Message To Anthony Joshua
Tyson Fury believes that no matter their records, facing Anthony Joshua would still be a “great fight.”
The 36-year-old has left the door open for a future fight and is tempted by an easier night’s work.
Fury said: “I don’t want to work for f*** all – I want as much as I can get. I want the easiest fights possible for the largest amounts of money possible and don’t want the toughest fights possible for the least amount of money. I wasn’t born in a Christmas cracker.

“And I meant what I said about Joshua costing me £150m. We would have had a two-fight deal lined up for a s*** tonne of money.
“Unfortunately, doors open, doors close; that’s what it is. But it doesn’t… here’s the thing I said the other day; what does it matter if you’ve been knocked out twice or whatever, four, five times, or six or seven? What does it matter? Does it really matter if he has another loss or not? It doesn’t matter, it’s still a great fight.”
Fury Reveals What Really Motivates Him
A second defeat by Usyk could pave the way for a meeting with Joshua in May. Such a meeting could still draw in a huge purse and Fury has revealed what really motivates him to step inside the ring.
“I don’t care about my legacy,” he added. “Legacy is my kids. One thing I do care about is my family, my kids and providing for them, looking after them; that’s it.
“I’m only doing it for the money, obviously. All prizefighters, if they tell the truth, do it for the money, don’t they? Who here is not doing it for the money?”
