The Gypsy King who is looking to make a fight with Joshua happen after talks between the two camps have ramped up in the last 72 hours, following the understanding that Oleksandr Usyk will be out of action until 2023.

News had emerged earlier this week that Joshua has reportedly accepted Fury's offer for a fight with the WBC and Linear heavyweight titles on the line before the end of 2022, with Fury revealing that he had offered Joshua a 60:40 split for their proposed 'Battle of Britain' fight - a bout which is long overdue with the two going back and forth for the better part of six years.

But Fury has since been unhappy with Joshua, with the former hoping the bout to be held in November, whilst Joshua wants a December 17 bout.

Fury has since criticised Joshua, again naming him a 'souped-up body builder', and he has now claimed that his former opponent Wilder would defeat him.

Speaking to Ring Magazine, he said: "I would back Deontay Wilder to beat Anthony Joshua. I back him to beat any of them except me. Wilder, even though he's a piece of s*** in my opinion, is still the second-best heavyweight in the world."
