Tyson Fury hits back at 'bully' Conor McGregor in wake of Canelo Alvarez vs Billy Joe Saunders drama

Tyson Fury has told Conor McGregor that he is a 'bully' after the MMA fighter criticised Fury for not getting involved in a brawl last May's fight between Billy Joe Saunders and Canelo Alvarez.

Saunders' father was shoved by security as he tried to make his way into the ring and console his son, pushing him into the barriers with the British fighter's team subsequently getting involved in what amounted to a brawl.

Fury is close to Saunders and was at the fight but refused to get involved, instead watching on from behind the barriers - actions which were slammed by Conor McGregor in a bizarre tweet.

McGregor wrote: "Yup the Joyces. Big Joe ! U bottled it with Billy joe Da , what were you doing there ? ULeft him, Versace tw*t U.Done.Nothing.

"Ya’s did it right ye right hahahahaaj. Even when I’m wrong i’m right. Who did it right ? The Mac daddy tonight, in house. Miami d12! Bahamas #skyjuice"

The tweet was in response to praise from Fury for Khabib Nurmagomedov, who beat McGregor in 2018 by submission and could be a sign that the Irishman could still have resentment for the fighter from Dagestan.

Khabib has so far steered clear of the feud and now Fury has responded to McGregor, calling the former multi-weight UFC champion a 'bully' for his comments, saying that "People actually like me".

Fury said: "Come back when u win a fight mush

"&the difference in me & you is i don’t get myself in trouble & people actually like me, your just a bully who hit old man, & yes Big up the hulk Joe, #morecambebay. in the house."

Fury was referencing the incident where McGregor appeared to attack a man at a pub in Dublin back in 2019 as well as a potential fight with fellow British heavyweight Joe Joyce who called out the 33-year old last year.

There is no chance of a fight between Fury and McGregor due to the difference in weight between the two but fans will be interested to see the war of words develop further.
