Tyson Fury's heartbreak after his cousin is stabbed to death as boxer makes plea to stop knife crime

Tyson Fury has made an emotional statement on his social media pages following the death of his cousin.

He has issued statements on his instagram and Twitter pages about the incident and called for a resolution to knife crime.

In the statement, Tyson Fury says his cousin was stabbed to death last night (Saturday, August 20).

In his statement, he said: "Government needs to bring higher sentencing for knife crime, its a pandemic and you don't know how bad it is until its 1 of your own! Life is very precious & it can be taken away very quick enjoy every moment."

He added to post with the hashtag 'Only cowards carry weapons'.

The Mirror reports The 'Gypsy King' spent last night watching the heavyweight fight between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk which the Ukrainian won in comfortable fashion. He released a video calling out the Ukrainian to a potential undisputed title fight after vowing to make a comeback to the sport despite his previous planned retirement.
