Tyson Fury gives official prediction for brother Tommy's fight with Jake Paul

Tyson Fury has predicted his brother Tommy will take his time before stopping Jake Paul late when the pair finally fight in Saudi Arabia later this month.

The world heavyweight champion trains alongside his brother, who is 8-0 as a professional as well as a famed reality TV star from his stint on Love Island. And he reckons that while a win is likely, Tommy will need longer than the first few rounds to get Paul out of there.

Tommy insists that he isn't feeling the pressure despite his family piling it on, and declaring that he will have to stay in the Middle East if he loses the bout. But Tyson does feel that he will get a stoppage, given his experience feeling the power from his brother over the years in sparring.

"I don't think it's going to be a one-round, two-second knockout, one punch type of job," Tyson told IFL TV. "I think he'll wear him down, it's an eight-rounder, so I think Tommy can wear him out and stop him later on in the last few rounds. As soon as Tommy hits him with some hard punches I want to see what Jake Paul's made of. When Tommy hits me with hard punches and big gloves on it hurts me. I know Jake ain't as tough as me or as big as me so he's definitely going to be feeling pain, a lot of it."

The brothers have been training together for their respective big fights, with Tyson expected to announce an April fight with Oleksandr Usyk in the coming months. He will fight for the first undisputed heavyweight title of the four-belt era, with the bout likely to also land in Saudi Arabia.

But he is currently helping Tommy to prepare, joking that he'll wear a blonde wig and trash talk to prepare his brother for the upcoming fight. "I've got my wig ready," Tyson laughed. "Ready to rock and roll, I've got it and I've been watching Jake so I've been practicing my American accent."

The first press conference in Saudi Arabia for the bout takes place on Wednesday, although it remains to be seen if Tommy will show up after claiming that he needs further time to train. Paul announced on Friday night that his opponent wouldn't be coming to the event, and Fury responded that he will do a press conference when he arrives later in the month.

" Tommy Fury is scared," Paul tweeted on Friday night. "Told my team he can’t make the kick-off press conference next week in Saudi Arabia because he needs more time to train. Thought you said you wouldn’t even have to train to fight me? You and your papa scared. #MikePerry."

Fury responded within a few hours, taking to social media in defence of his position saying: "The press conference can wait until I get to Saudi Arabia you fool. I’ll be there on the 16th. 3 weeks and it’s over you big stiff sweaty goth."
