Tyson Fury explains exactly how he will beat heavyweight rival Dillian Whyte

Tyson Fury has confirmed he will look to secure an explosive stoppage from the opening bell in his upcoming clash against Dillian Whyte.

The pair will finally meet in a huge heavyweight title clash on April 23 at Wembley Stadium after months of difficult negotiations.

Fury has shown a more aggressive style in his recent fights having recorded two consecutive stoppage victories over Deontay Wilder.

He plans to continue to show his arsenal against his domestic rival next month, and believes Whyte's style is tailor-made to his own.

"I couldn't have said it any better, tailor-made," Fury said to Carl Frampton on BT Sport. "If I could tailor-make an opponent he would be six foot three, late seventeen or eighteen stones just like Dillian Whyte who is slow and looking for a big punch.

"He is a bit like Samuel Peters, similar kind of style and we all know what happens to them and they get knocked out if they want to like what happened when he fought Povetkin.

"I think that Chisora had a more awkward style for me as he dips down and comes from awkward angles, so I think he is an easier opponent for me for them reasons.

"I am going to knock him out, I will tell you the whole game plan straight out of the block and to the middle of the ring straight away. I will push him back and land big heavy artillery from round one, and see how long he can take it for without being hit back.

'So I will punch right through the guard in devastating fashion, so block that and take that right hand to the face."

Fury has tried to entice Whyte into a war of words ahead of his title challenge, but his rival has remained silent and failed to show at the first press conference to promote the fight.

Whyte has been waiting for a shot at the title since 2017, and frequently traded verbal jabs with Fury on social media before the fight was confirmed.

Frank Warren will promote the fight after winning purse bids with the challenger set to receive a career-high payday of £6million.

Despite it being his big purse to date, Whyte has been unhappy with his treatment during negotiations with Fury set to earn around £20million.

But Fury remains unconcerned that he opponent will fail to turn up to the encounter next month.

“I am 100 per cent confident; he is getting 32 times his biggest payday so he is definitely coming," Fury said. "Only an idiot wouldn’t turn up for that.

"Even if he was out on the drink for every day from now to then he will still turn up. For £6m I would go out drinking all day every day, eat s*** food and still turn up."
