It was of little surprise to many when Tyson Fury secured a sixth round knockout victory against Dillian Whyte at Wembley in March, with the undefeated WBC champion producing a masterclass to underline his world champion status.
One man who was not so convinced of this outcome was former world heavyweight championship contender Derek Chisora, who was willing to bet his house on his fellow Londoner and one-time opponent beating the 'Gypsy King' in their fight which took place in front of 94,000 fans at Wembley.
The 38-year-old Chisora, who was victorious in his most recent fight against Kubrat Pulev, told TalkSport in the build-up to Fury vs Whyte that he was confident of the latter's success. “I’m willing to put my house on Dillian Whyte knocking Tyson Fury out.

“Look at your faces in the studio! Tyson is my mate and I know he’s listening – Tyson, you’re going to get knocked out.” Fury was at his best to knockout Whyte in the sixth round and now says that contrary to Chisora saying they were 'mates', that the friendship is now over after the bet.
Fury was also speaking to TalkSport when he made the claim, while also finding time to praise his compatriot, saying: “I thought Derek did absolutely fantastic [against Kubrat Pulev]. However, me and Derek Chisora used to be chum buddies. I went to Monaco to support him. I went to Hamburg to support him,” He added. “Then, as soon as I have a fight he goes, ‘I’ll pick the other guy’.
"So, Derek Chisora can kiss my a*** and if I see him I’m going to punch him in the face. After the fight, he came to the afterparty and said this, that, and the other, made a million excuses. At the end of the day, you don’t do that to your friends.
"If you’re friends with somebody, you back them. You don’t go with the other guy who you don’t like anyway, you go with your friend. After what he did, backing Dillian Whyte to knock me out, having his house on it and all that, how confident he was, we ain’t friends anymore. And when I see you, Derek, you’ve got me to fight.”
Fury is likely to face the winner of the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua next, after making a retirement U-turn. Meanwhile, Chisora had been linked as a potential opponent for Deontay WIlder's return to the ring after his trilogy with Fury, but the Bronze Bomber has rejected that offer after Chisora called him out in the wake of his Pulev victory.
