When Tyrrell Hatton received the phone call from European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald to confirm he had made the team for the Bethpage Black match, he understandably saw an opportunity to celebrate.
Adding to the occasion was the fact that the call came shortly after his Legion XIII LIV Golf team captain, Jon Rahm, had won the Individual Championship in Indianapolis.
