The biggest clash of the opening games in Ulster sees Division One rivals Tyrone and Monaghan go head-to-head in Omagh for a place in the provincial semi-finals.
The Red Hands suffered a shock 11-point loss to Derry at O’Neills Healy Park at this stage last season and they’ll be determined to deliver a solid performance in front of their home fans.
Monaghan also lost out to Derry in the Ulster semi-final, but they’ll be buoyed by yet another last-gasp relegation escape after defeating Mayo in Castlebar in round seven of the Allianz Football League.
However, the Farney lost out to Tyrone in round six and Vinny Corey’s men will be the underdogs going into this weekend’s Championship clash.
