Tyrique Hyde hints at an interest in another Love Island star on Thursday night's episode, clearly still reeling from Ella Thomas recoupling with Ouzy See, as Casa Amor ended in dramatic style.
Ahead of the second villa opening its doors, Tyrique and Ella 'closed things off' in their relationship, going into the week as the villa's strongest couple. Of the two, some Love Island fans predicted that if either of them was to cheat, it would be Tyrique. However, in a turn of events that saw jaws drop around the firepit and in front of of many TVs across the country, it was Ella who had her head turned, as she walked back into the main villa from Casa for the recoupling, hand in hand with footballer Ouzy, who she already knew from back home.
Asked by host Maya Jama how he felt in the moment, Tyrique told Ella: "Honestly hope it was worth it, 'cos we're done completely." She tried to reason with him, saying her coming back with Ouzy didn't necessarily mean it was the end for him and her, but Tyrique fired back: ""I'm telling you it's over."
The two have a tense conversation during Thursday's Love Island, with him telling her: "I stood there on my own because my feelings for you are genuine. I’ve never in my entire life had feelings for someone the way I do for you and you’ve just thrown it all away by bringing Ouzy back.”
Tyrique and the other single Islanders - Kady, Scott and Jess then receive text telling them they'll be leaving the villa for drinks. Discussing what's next for him with Scott, Tyrique responds: "Obviously Ella’s made me single, might as well go and get to know Kady init. Time to bounce back.," before adding: "Cheers to being single and not caring. Still cracking on."
