Manchester United's Tyrell Malacia thinks Memphis Depay could win the Golden Boot at the World Cup this winter.
Signed by Louis van Gaal in 2015, Depay took the iconic number seven shirt upon his arrival at Old Trafford, but he struggled to nail down a place in the team and only managed to tally seven goals in 53 appearances during his time at the club.
Jose Mourinho eventually deemed Depay surplus to requirements and the forward sealed a move to Lyon in Ligue 1 in 2017. Depay has since excelled playing for Lyon and he's established himself as one of Europe's finest attackers.

Malacia spoke to United's in-house media ahead of travelling to the World Cup and he backed Depay to be top goalscorer.
"It's a really big achievement [playing at World Cup]. I think I can't describe that for myself. It's amazing," Malacia said. "I think, of course, from the beginning when I won my first cap until now, they [the people back home] are so proud and really happy for me.
"Of course, he [Van Gaal] knows a lot and he helps us a lot. He talks with us a lot and has a lot of experience for the younger players to know. We also have some guys in the team who have already played at the World Cup.
"So I think our team has a bit of everything, you know. It's difficult because, in tournaments, you never know as the team who has the best day wins. I think Memphis [Depay] for the Golden Boot. I'm excited."
