Tyreek Hill will avoid facing further legal action after reaching a settlement with a marina employee who had an altercation with the Dolphins star receiver in June.
Julius Collins, Hill’s attorney, and attorney Evan Feldman, representing the unidentified male employee of Kelley Fleet Inc., issued a joint statement to ESPN on Monday confirming both sides have now “resolved their differences.”
“The parties to the incident which occurred on June 18th, 2023 at the Haulover Marina involving Tyreek Hill have resolved their differences,” the statement read.
Monday’s news closes the door on a troubling offseason situation for the 29-year-old, who was reportedly under investigation by the Miami-Dade Police Department for the reported June 18 incident.
According to Miami’s WPLG Local 10, Hill allegedly hit the marina employee during a “disagreement” at the Haulover Marina in Miami. Local radio host Andy Slater later reported Hill slapped the man in the back of the head, after an altercation that began “when Hill’s crew tried boarding the boat without permission.”
Despite the involvement of Miami police, the Kelley Fleet employee declined to press charges against Hill following the incident.
