Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill has popped up as a potential candidate for the 2023 season NFL MVP thanks to his stellar start to the year.
Hill surpassed 1,000 yards in just eight games, becoming the first receiver in the Super Bowl era to accomplish the feat. Based on the pace he’s on, he could become the first receiver in league history to hit 2,000 yards in a single season.
When Hill was asked about his MVP campaign on Thursday, he admitted that he doesn’t even think he's the MVP of the Dolphins this season.

“No, we have a player on this team who is better than me, and means more to this team than me,” Hill said.
While it’s assumed that Hill meant quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, the receiver jokingly named fullback “Alec Ingold.”
If Hill does win the MVP at the end of the season, he would become the first receiver in NFL history to do so.
According to SI Sportsbook, Hill has +4000 odds to win the MVP, while Tagovailoa is tied with Jalen Hurts for the second best odds at +350.
