The company behind Tylö home saunas has expanded a bench-collapse recall to about 6,000 units, compared with about 1,000 in the original recall, after the repair it offered owners last year proved ineffective. Sauna360 has received 77 more reports of benches breaking, including six injuries, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The expanded recall, dated Sept. 17, covers Tylö Halmstad and Kiruna Hybrid sauna rooms sold nationwide by various distributors from July 2024 through July 2026 for $6,000 to $12,000. CPSC says owners should stop using the saunas immediately, including those whose benches were already repaired under the 2025 recall.
