Tyler Lockett expected to play vs. Rams, but it will be game-time decision

The Seattle Seahawks listed several players as questionable for today’s game against the LA Rams in Inglewood. The most important one on the list is wide receiver Tyler Lockett, who is dealing with a hamstring injury and did not practice at all this week.

According to a report by Adam Schefter at ESPN, Lockett is expected to play today. However, he followed up with more context later, adding that the team wants to see how Lockett performs in pregame before they make the final decision.

To date Lockett has only missed three games in his career. The Seahawks do have some incentive to rest him today, though.

For one thing, the Rams don’t have the deepest cornerback room in the league and Seattle’s receivers can probably best them even without Lockett in the lineup. More importantly, the Seahawks are on a short week as they’ll be facing the 49ers on Thursday night. Getting Lockett an extra three days of rest for that game might be more useful than whatever he can contribute against LA today.

Kickoff is 1:25 p.m. Seattle time.
