Tyler Linderbaum is one of the most underrated players not just on the Baltimore Ravens but in the entire league. While he did check in at exactly No. 100 on the CBS Sports Top 100 Players in the League list this offseason, one could argue that he deserves to be even higher on that list.
He’s one of the best centers in the league, and he’ll be counted on to be a stable veteran leader for a position group in great flux this season. But for now, Linderbaum will be missing some time due to a soft tissue injury.
He missed practice on Friday and will be absent again on Saturday. Beyond that, the former Iowa Hawkeyes star is day-to-day.
“It’s a soft tissue kind of thing,” coach John Harbaugh said.
“We’ll keep him out today and tomorrow, and then he should be back sometime next week.
“We’ll be very patient with Tyler.
“He’s having a great camp, and some of those young guys need a little more work anyway, so it works out for us.”
Linderbaum and the venerable veteran Ronnie Stanley must provide stability and consistency for this offensive line group, as they’ll be breaking in new starters at the other three positions.
