CLEVELAND — Tyler Glasnow made an impressive return to the mound Wednesday, working three strong innings in his first start since August 2021 Tommy John surgery.
The rest of the night didn’t go as well for the Rays, as they lost 2-1 to the Guardians on a 10th-inning walk-off single by Amed Rosario off Javy Guerra, the eighth Tampa Bay pitcher.
With Oscar Gonzalez starting the inning as the runner on second, the Rays intentionally walked Andres Gimenez. Gabriel Arias bunted the runners up to third and second. The Rays intentionally walked Will Brennan. The Guardians had Rosario pinch-hit for Luke Maile, and it worked.
