Former New England Patriots corner Ty Law bluntly stated his feelings ahead of the Patriots-Pittsburgh Steelers matchup on Thursday night. It’s safe to say Law is ready to move on to the 2024 season.
New England has struggled this season, as they currently sit with a 2-10 record. Furthermore, quarterback Mac Jones is no longer the starter, and the team has elected to go with Bailey Zappe over the last couple games.
The Patriots currently hold the second overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, and that has many looking towards the future.
This includes Law, who didn’t mince words on WEEI’s “The Greg Hill Show” on Thursday morning. He summed up the feelings of many Patriots fans, with a full-scale rebuild becoming more needed by the day.
“I think at this point, I hate to say this… they just can’t wait to get it over with,” said Law, as transcribed by WEEI’s Mike Kadlick. “And hell, us as fans. We can’t wait for y’all to get it over with either! You know what I mean? …They gonna have to do a whole overhaul makeover. Of course, you got some guys, you know, like the Judon’s, the Gonzalez’s of the world, but it’s gonna be a totally different team come next year.”
Ty Law was asked on @TheGregHillShow if the #Patriots have a chance tonight against the #Steelers:
