It has been nearly two years since the Supreme Court overturned the federal right to abortion, overturning Roe v. Wade in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision. Since then, several states have instituted their own abortion policies, with nearly half restricting the practice. Several elections also have shown to what extent reproductive rights affect political outcomes. Amanda Becker of The 19th News has chronicled these topics and more, particularly with her forthcoming book, “You Must Stand Up: The Fight for Abortion Rights in Post-Dobbs America,” and is here on Political Theater to discuss her work and projects.
