Two wounded by bomb, gunshots in Yala

YALA: Two local men were wounded, one by a thrown bomb and the other was shot, in Bannang Sata district on Thursday night.

A bomb exploded beside a security guard booth near an ATM machine in front of Bang La dam power plant in tambon Khuen Bangla around 8pm.

Isama-ae Mama, 30, sustained shrapnel wounds to the left side of his torso and was rushed to Bannangsata Hospital.

Police investigators said assailants had hurled a bomb at the security booth. There were no other details.

Earlier on Thursday night, a local resident was shot and wounded from ambush while riding a motorcycle along a road at Leepasanor village Moo 3 in tambon Taling Chan of Bangnang Sata district.

Police said Arleep Joryor, 20, was hit by two bullets, both in his left leg. He was taken to Bannangsata Hospital.

Police were investigating.
