Police locked down two schools in Tuggeranong after teenage boys were allegedly driving dangerously and conducting burnouts in a stolen BMW.
About 1.10pm on Friday, police officers saw a white BMW hatchback, which was reportedly stolen from a home in Yarralumla, driving dangerously along Mugga Lane.
A short time later, the vehicle was seen conducting a burnout and driving dangerously near Calwell High School.
When the hatchback stopped, officers arrested two teenage boys after a short foot pursuit.
Two other males fled the scene, and one was later seen running through the grounds of St Francis of Assisi Primary School.
As a precaution, police placed both schools into lockdown.
Officers searched the schools but were unable to find the wanted males, and are continuing to circulate nearby suburbs to try and find them.
Police have urged anyone with information in relation to the identity and whereabouts of the males to contact 131 444.
