NHS waiting lists are experiencing a significant surge, driven by increased demand for weight-loss medications and assessments for conditions like autism and ADHD, a new report reveals.
Children in England are particularly affected, with the community care waiting list for young people soaring by 58 per cent since 2022. This contrasts sharply with a 23 per cent rise for adults over the same period, according to a study by the Nuffield Trust and the Health Foundation.
