Two Ravens players return to practice on Monday

The Baltimore Ravens wrapped up their 2022 preseason with a 17-15 win over the Washington Commanders. They didn’t play the majority of their starters in the game, and also saw multiple players miss the game due to injury.

Two of the players who missed multiple days of practice leading up to Week 3 of the preseason were guard Ben Cleveland and cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis. However, Baltimore got two pieces of good news at Monday’s practice, as Cleveland and Armour-Davis both returned to the field ahead of the team needing to trim their roster to 53 players.

Cleveland has been vying for the starting job at left guard, competing with Ben Powers and Tyre Phillips for the duties. The second-year pro out of Georgia got off to a slow start during training camp, as he failed his conditioning test multiple times and had to miss practice time.

Armour-Davis was selected in the fourth round of the 2022 draft by the team, but has missed chunks of time due to multiple injuries. It’s unclear what role he’ll play during his rookie season, but has talent that can be realized in the Ravens’ secondary.
