Manchester City and Liverpool have been stand-out teams across the Premier League over the last few seasons, but can Jurgen Klopp and his under-performing side prevent themselves from a 'walloping' at Anfield this Sunday afternoon? All eyes will be on Merseyside for this one.
Pep Guardiola and his star-studded City squad are unbeaten in their latest title defence. However, things have not gone entirely to plan for Klopp and Liverpool this term. Indeed, they are sitting 13 points behind second-placed City in the early standings, albeit having played a game less than the reigning Premier League champions.

Paul Merson - Sportskeeda
Sharing his Sportskeeda predictions, Merson said: "Erling Haaland will be up against Virgil van Dijk and I think that the latter will find it a little difficult. This will be an interesting challenge for both players.
"Liverpool have been so spoiled by brilliance over the years that a couple of players being out of form has caused mayhem. [Winning at Rangers] will make a difference for Liverpool and I think Mohamed Salah will be a completely different player this weekend.
"Do I see Liverpool winning? No. They're still letting in too many goals. Manchester City have got Haaland and will still win a lot of games this season. I don't see how Liverpool are going to stop them from scoring at least two goals this weekend, even though [the game is at Anfield]."
Score prediction: Liverpool 1-3 Man City
Chris Sutton - BBC Sport
Writing in his latest BBC Sport column, Sutton added: "It is hard to make a case for Liverpool still being in the title race anyway, but if City go to Anfield and win then it really is all over for Jurgen Klopp's side. City know that and so they could land a knockout blow.
"Erling Haaland was rested midweek, so he will be ready. City are that good they will wipe the floor with them.
"Liverpool's high-line has been causing them problems - while Rangers were able to get at them in the first half on Wednesday - so they would have to be very brave to try that against Haaland. They might still create opportunities, because of the way City are set up but, when you look at both teams, City are just too good.
"I almost went for them to get five. Either way this will be a walloping."
Score prediction: Liverpool 1-4 Man City
Mark Lawrenson - Paddy Power
In his Paddy Power tips, Lawrenson continued: "I'm going to this and I'm really excited to see the sensation of the season in the flesh. Manchester City said Erling Haaland was tired and he didn't play during the week, but he'll play against Liverpool. No doubt about that.
"Liverpool were a little bit unlucky against Arsenal and they're still conceding goals. City will be happy to pick up a point here - regardless of how well they're playing - and move onto next week."
Score prediction: Liverpool 1-1 Man City
