Two people treated by paramedics after being rescued from fire

Two people had to be rescued after a fire broke out in Timperley. Firefighters were called to Mainwood Road earlier this afternoon, following reports of a blaze at the back of a house.

Paramedics assessed two people who had to be rescued from the incident. Three fire engines attended at the height of the blaze, with crews from Wythenshawe and Sale being called on.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “Just before 1pm on 17 July, firefighters were called to reports of a fire at the back of a residential property on Mainwood Road in Timperley. Three fire engines from Wythenshawe and Sale stations attended.
