Two people have been taken to hospital after a car crashed close to the Galleon leisure centre.
Pictures have emerged from the scene in Kilmarnock showing emergency services attending the incident.
Ayrshire Live understands the vehicle collided with barriers at the side of the centre.
Police confirmed they were called at 11.30am today following reports of the crash.
Two people were taken to Crosshouse Hospital as a result of the incident.
The road has been shut off while police deal with the crash scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said "We received a report of a crash involving one vehicle which happened at Douglas Street, Kilmarnock at 11.30am on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.
"Two people were taken to Crosshouse Hospital."
