PATNA: Jharkhand government’s recent decision to raise quota limit for the SC, ST and Backward Classes to 77% from the existing 50% has caused a political upheaval in the neighbouring Bihar.
Two constituents of the seven-party Mahagathbandhan on Sunday asked Bihar CM Nitish Kumar to bring a legislation in the forthcoming winter session of the state assembly to raise the total reservation limit to 77% from the existing 50% on the pattern of the Jharkhand government. The winter session of Bihar assembly will begin on November 23.
