Tragedy struck in Missouri as two poll workers lost their lives due to severe flooding that hit the state overnight. The Wright County Clerk’s Office expressed deep sorrow over the incident, attributing the deaths to the swift and high water levels caused by the preceding storms.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol was called in to assist and recovered the bodies of the victims from Beaver Creek, where their vehicles had been swept off the road. The victims, a 70-year-old man and a 73-year-old woman, were identified as the Wright County poll workers who tragically lost their lives in the flooding.
