Dr. Michael Breus, “The Sleep Doctor,” says our mental health is important to our sleep environment. He believes making your bed is conducive to a good night's sleep.
Dr Breus said: "Overstimulation can lead to anxiety, a common reason we lose sleep. This may have a special meaning in our sleep environment. A clean room represents a clean mind."
A separate conducted by the National Sleep Foundation found that people who make their bed in the morning are 19% more likely to have a good night's sleep, every night.
The Sleep Doctor's study found that men are 11.4% more likely than women to make their beds each day. On the flip side, only 12.3% of male respondents never make their beds, whereas 18.3% of female respondents don’t bother.
