Two men arrested after police unearth huge suspected cannabis farm

Two people have been arrested after police discovered a suspected cannabis farm at a building in Bolton.

Police busted a property on Bradshawgate this morning (Thursday.) Around 2,500 plants, believed to be cannabis, were found inside.

Officers arrested two men on suspicion of the cultivation of cannabis.

They both remain in police custody, awaiting questioning.

Photographs from inside the building show a large amount of plants surrounded by electrical and storage equipment.

A Tactical Aid Unit and a fire engine were both in attendance at the scene.

In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: “Police in Bolton uncovered a suspected cannabis farm in Bolton today.

“Officers attended the address on Bradshawgate & discovered around 2,500 plants.

“Two men have been arrested on suspicion of the cultivation of cannabis & remain in police custody for questioning.”
